The Guardian

From beyond the

deep shadow-years

a slant of light reaches the

dusty corners of the dream

and stirs the sleeping guardian

of the future

who is so lost

in his task

that he has become

the very walls that

surround the treasure

he protects, though he can

barely remember why

until

the light reminds him.
