Alien Abduction:::a Reconstructed Poem

Driving down the
empty streets of town
in to the moon
hanging over the
blacktop wet with
midnight rain

under construction

Saw a flower bloom
on a dry river bed
in to the wind
bending over the
past with hope and
trembling fear

mindful seduction

Heard a new song play
in my restless heart
felt the road
stretch out
familiar curves
stars to guide me

lost obstruction

I like this - especially the italic lines mindful seduction - lost obstruction,

I can only guess whether this poem has any distinct meaning for you or what that meaning might be,

you mention driving and the moon so at least I feel its set at night but for me - that last line especially lost obstruction makes me think how free I feel when walking on an open road underneath the stars.

I’ve taken the time to explore your blog a little, and I’m loving what you write about so far, with pictures to match too.

The leaf poem for example is beautiful as is the swirling picture; I’m looking forward to reading your short story.

I enjoyed the picture your words painted ..
Life is sometimes under construction and it is hard to see through the mess.
